Decree 29-2022 published on May 2nd of this year establishes the benefit of a Municipal Tax Amnesty in all Municipalities of Honduras, for payment of interest, fines and surcharges caused by accumulated default up to March 31st, 2022. This means that all individuals and entities may pay their tax obligations without interest, fines, charges, and surcharges until July 31st, 2022.
Municipalities may also reach agreements with taxpayers, after prior analysis, for payment plans in no more than one year and a discount of up to 20% of accumulated debt.
